In this post we will talk about how to add the Oasis Emerald Rose network, it is quite simple, just like adding the rest of the networks, but many will not know and that is why we are doing this tutorial.

Over the years, many different blockchain projects have emerged that have been dubbed “ Ethereum killers, ” meaning they have the potential to replace the Ethereum network. It is doubtful that the teams behind these projects are working with the intention of destroying Ethereum, but the term still persists, and Ethereum is still king.

Oasis Network (token: ROSE ) is the latest blockchain project to be called an “Ethereum killer”. It is similar to Ethereum but has two key features that elevate it: built-in privacy and scalability. In this guide, we will see what the Oasis Network is, how it works, what ROSE tokens are, and why ROSE is a good investment.

What is Oasis Network?

Oasis Network (token: ROSE) is a  Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain network that is designed to function as a privacy-preserving platform for open finance and to use data responsibly. Oasis is a base layer blockchain, like  Ethereum or  Bitcoin, but it’s built from the ground up, with data confidentiality and performance gains of up to 1,000  transactions per second.  (TPS).

The lack of privacy in the blockchain is possibly one of the biggest obstacles to the adoption of the technology. Oasis Network wants to bridge that gap as a privacy-focused blockchain protocol that supports a decentralized data economy and open finance.

It combines its unique privacy features with high-performance and secure architecture, making it ideal for powering scalable and private decentralized finance ( DeFI ) applications and expanding open finance beyond crypto traders and early adopters.

The Ultimate Guide to Adding Oasis Emerald to MetaMask

Configure MetaMask

Installation and configuration of MetaMask

MetaMask is one of the most used wallets in DeFi. It can be downloaded on Chrome and Firefox, or on iOS and Android if you’re a mobile user. For the purposes of this tutorial, we’ll be using the iOS version, but the instructions will be more or less the same for all platforms.
First of all, you’ll want to head over to the MetaMask download page on the AppStore.
Then follow the setup instructions specified by the app. Go ahead and click Create a wallet. Write the backup seed phrase somewhere secret (preferably not on a device connected to the Internet). Without this phrase, your funds cannot be recovered if your device is damaged or lost. Confirm that you have written them on the next page.
And that is! You should now see your wallet, ready to send and receive funds.

Connect to Oasis Emerald

Click on the menu at the top left and select the Settings button as shown below.

In the Settings section, select the Networks button.

Click the Add Network button to configure the new network.

Finally, let’s connect Oasis Emerald:

  • Network Name: Emerald Mainnet
  • RPC URL: https://emerald.oasis.dev
  • Chain ID: 42262
  • Symbol: ROSE
